Illuminating the streets of London, Las Vegas, Miami and Vienna, Lakwena Maciver’s enormous technicolour murals are hard to miss, and a joy to behold. Since her first major commission for an art festival in Miami, she has risen to fame creating work that combines inspiring words with bold typography and bright graphic patterns. On a visit to Lakwena’s studio we discuss the deeper meanings behind her joyful aesthetics.
